Sevilla are reportedly considering a season-long loan move for Super Eagles-eligible striker George Ilenikhena after Akor Adams left the club for Venezia in a €16 million transfer. Ilenikhena, 19, was born in Lagos and is still eligible to play for Nigeria. He joined Al-Ittihad from AS Monaco for a reported €33 million in February 2026 but made only two league appearances without scoring. A move to Spain could offer the young forward a chance to revive his career in Europe. He previously made headlines by scoring Champions League goals against Barcelona for Royal Antwerp in 2023 and Monaco in 2024.

Would a season-long loan to Sevilla be the right next step for Ilenikhena, especially with the Super Eagles option still open?

Do you think regular minutes should be the main factor before deciding if this move suits him?

At 19, the reported interest is encouraging. A move that offers regular minutes could matter more than the club name.

The Super Eagles eligibility angle is interesting, but the immediate story is whether Sevilla genuinely have a clear role for him.

If the loan happens, the key terms should be simple: playing-time pathway, fitness support, and a plan beyond one season.
