Police Arrest Suspected Transformer Vandal After Electric Shock in Enugu

Police in Enugu have arrested 23-year-old Nnaji Chidiebere after he allegedly suffered electric shock injuries while attempting to vandalise a transformer in the Ogbaike area of Obollo-Afor, Udenu LGA. The Enugu Police Command said community members alerted officers after the suspect was found unconscious and trapped at the transformer at about 2:20 p.m. Officers reportedly took him to a hospital, where he was resuscitated before being referred for specialist treatment. Police said preliminary investigations linked him to other transformer vandalism cases in the area. Investigations are continuing to identify any possible accomplices and prepare the case for prosecution.
