Challenging Carbon Dating: A Creationist View of Earth’s Age

I often see Young Earth Creationists arguing against carbon dating methods. They point out that radiocarbon dating should reliably date items up to 60,000 years old. Yet some famous artifacts from 2,000–3,000 years ago sometimes yield unexpected results. Creationists also highlight fossils of modern-looking animals and human objects found in ancient rock layers. They argue sedimentation, folding, and volcanic activity must have happened much faster than science claims. Some link these findings to the biblical account of a great flood. The Bible tells us that humans sense eternity in their hearts and warns against denying God’s existence. Many Nigerians who accept spiritual realities through charms and sacrifices still reject faith due to online materials or travel experiences. I believe Christ’s sacrifice offers forgiveness and restores our relationship with God. Only through Jesus can we meet God’s perfect standard and receive eternal life, peace, and true prosperity.
