Edo APC Primaries: Ize-Iyamu Demands Transparency and Quashes Defection Rumours
Edo South senatorial aspirant Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has urged the APC leadership to ensure transparent and impartial primaries. He warned that any form of candidate imposition undermines party unity and erodes public trust. He stressed that members must choose freely without fear, coercion or intimidation. He warned against directing appointees or stakeholders on whom to support, saying it contradicts the party’s democratic ideals. Ize-Iyamu also dismissed speculation about leaving the APC, declaring he has no intention to defect now or in the future. He said no disagreement or setback will drive him from a house he helped build. He praised President Tinubu’s national reforms and commended Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo’s push for infrastructural development.
