London Police Investigate Unexplained Death of Woman Found in Croydon Home

Police in London are investigating the unexplained death of 60-year-old Nicole Beling, who was found at her home in South Croydon after being reported missing by a family member on 17 July 2026. Officers treated her as a high-risk missing person and searched the property, where they found her body. A 61-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, released under investigation, then rearrested on 1 August and later granted bail while enquiries continue. The Metropolitan Police said a formal murder investigation has not yet been opened, as the cause and circumstances of her death are still being established. Detectives are appealing to anyone who knew Beling or has relevant information to contact the police.
