But in the recent Delta North primary, Nwoko polled just 2,612 votes while former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa won by a landslide with 113,309 votes. The senator alleges the process was manipulated when Okowa joined the APC months after his own defection. In a televised interview, Nwoko expressed shock and disappointment at being sidelined despite prior assurances. He insists the leadership reneged on their guarantee and is calling for transparency in the party’s nomination process.
