President Federation Cup Draw Scheduled for Friday in Abuja

President Federation Cup Draw Scheduled for Friday in Abuja

The draw ceremony for this year’s President Federation Cup will take place on Friday at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja. This follows the national playoff stage, which saw four women’s teams and six men’s teams eliminated. A total of 32 women’s sides and 64 men’s sides will be drawn into the national competition. Cup holders Kwara United, Shooting Stars, Enugu Rangers and others will feature among the men’s entrants. Last season’s women’s champions Rivers Angels, Nasarawa Amazons and FC Robo Queens are also in the line-up, alongside qualifiers from across the country.

Given that four women's and six men's sides were already knocked out in the playoffs, it seems the draw might heavily favour bigger clubs.

I'm not sure how much hosting the draw in Abuja really matters when teams must travel countrywide for the matches anyway.

Teams should start planning travel and training schedules immediately once Friday's draw results are announced at the NFF Secretariat.
