Nigeria @66: De Ambassadors Launch Nationwide Youth Talent and Civic Engagement Campaign
As Nigeria approaches its 66th Independence Anniversary, De Ambassadors Global Network, in partnership with the African University of Science and Technology and other collaborators, will roll out a three-week nationwide media and civic engagement drive. The initiative invites Nigerians to share their stories and reshape the nation’s narrative through resilience, innovation, creativity, and hope. A central feature is the Operation PVC Nigeria National Digital Youth Talent Challenge. This platform will spotlight emerging talent in music, football freestyle, basketball freestyle, short film, comedy skits, hair ancestry, artwork, fashion design, and tech innovation. Each category carries a unique national tagline aimed at inspiring unity and pride. Contestants will be showcased online and finalists chosen through a transparent public voting process. Winners will receive cash prizes, startup and creative funding, professional contracts with industry partners, and both national and international exposure. The campaign will culminate in the Nigeria @66 Global Compendium, celebrating 66 exceptional Nigerians at home, 66 in the diaspora, and 66 organisations driving national development. Organisers envision this platform extending beyond the anniversary as a lasting hub for media, education, technology, and civic participation.
