Plateau Group Rejects Sheikh Jingir’s Claim of Support for APC Muslim-Muslim Ticket
One Plateau, One Voice has rejected Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir’s claim that Plateau residents support the APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket ahead of 2027. The group’s convener, Dogo Nanzing, said Jingir has no mandate to speak for the people of Plateau or for Muslims in the state. He described the cleric’s comments as personal and politically motivated. Nanzing said the Jama’atu Nasril Islam chapter in Plateau had also distanced itself from statements supporting Jingir’s position. He called on the state government and other stakeholders to address religious messages that could fuel division.
