Midnight Raid: NYSC Corps Member Fatally Shot in Abuja Home
In the early hours of Saturday, three men in military attire forced their way into a home in Shagari Quarters, Deidei, Abuja. They fired through the locked front door and struck Abdulsamad, a serving NYSC corps member, as he shielded his younger siblings. Abdulsamad was alone at home while his parents were away. His siblings were left traumatised but unharmed. Family members and residents are demanding an immediate and transparent investigation into the alleged involvement of soldiers. The Nigerian Army has not yet issued an official statement. This tragic incident has reignited concerns about the conduct and accountability of security operatives during late-night operations.
