ADC Records First Win at Ajagbala Hall Polling Unit in Ekiti Election

ADC Records First Win at Ajagbala Hall Polling Unit in Ekiti Election

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has secured its first polling unit victory in the Ekiti State governorship election. Ajagbala Hall Polling Unit in Okeruku Ward 02, Ikere LGA, delivered the result. Official figures show ADC polled 39 votes, edging out the All Progressives Congress (APC) which scored 29 votes. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) followed with 17 votes, while other parties trailed behind. ADC’s governorship candidate raised concerns about threats and intimidation against his supporters in parts of the state. Observers noted isolated incidents but said collation continued elsewhere. Voting and result collation are still underway across all 16 local governments under INEC supervision, with security deployed to maintain order.

ADC's Ajagbala Hall victory is interesting, but scattering 39 votes against larger party machinery may not reflect true electoral momentum.

I'm not convinced one polling unit result justifies headlines; this could be a localized win without broader party resonance across Ekiti.

Local ADC organizers should capitalize on Ajagbala Hall win by strengthening grassroots outreach and voter education ahead of the next polling units.
