IAUE VC Pledges More Support for Research and Staff Development at Education Conference
The Vice-Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Prof. Okechukwu Onuchuku, says the university will continue to support research, academic conferences and staff development. He gave the assurance while opening the Faculty of Education's 11th Annual International Conference in Port Harcourt. The conference focused on educating learners beyond the classroom in the 21st century. Rivers State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Peters Nwagor, said schools must equip learners with practical skills, creativity, critical thinking and adaptability. Speakers at the conference also called for more skills-based teaching to prepare graduates for a changing world.
