19-Year-Old Woman Killed, Two Injured in Barkin Ladi Attack
A 19-year-old woman was killed and two other residents were wounded in an overnight attack on Gana Ropp village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. Troops of Sector 4, Operation Enduring Peace, reportedly responded to a distress call at about 10:45 p.m. on August 14, 2026. On arrival, they found that the victim had been shot dead. The two injured residents were taken to Barkin Ladi General Hospital for treatment. Security personnel have begun a manhunt as investigations continue to identify the attackers and establish the circumstances of the attack.
