Kwankwaso Says Tinubu Practises Muslim-Christian Balance at Home and in Politics

Rabiu Kwankwaso says President Bola Tinubu has historically supported balanced Muslim-Christian and Christian-Muslim tickets in Lagos. He made the remark while responding to Islamic cleric Sani Jingir’s call for the APC to retain a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket in 2027. Jingir said he supported the arrangement in 2023 and would support it again. Kwankwaso described Tinubu as a politician who values fairness, noting that Tinubu’s deputies as Lagos governor were Christians. He added that Tinubu also reflects a Muslim-Christian partnership in his marriage to First Lady Remi Tinubu.
