Tinubu Partners with Oyo State to Recruit 1,000 Forest Guards and Deploy Special Rescue Unit
At President Tinubu’s direction, a high-level federal delegation visited Esiele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State. He has approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in collaboration with the Oyo State Government. A specialised security unit with advanced rescue capabilities will also be deployed to intensify efforts to secure the safe return of abducted pupils and teachers. The communities’ request for a military base in the area is under urgent consideration. The President shares in the pain of affected families and extends deepest condolences to Mrs Mary Oyedokun and her family. Rescue operations will be intelligence-led, coordinated, and sustained. Every lawful tool, both kinetic and non-kinetic, will be deployed to bring our children and teachers safely home. What other measures would you recommend?
