Police Arrest Six Suspected Cultists After Violent Clash at Ekiti Hotel

The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested six suspected members of the Alora Confraternity over an alleged attempted murder after a violent clash at a hotel in Ikere-Ekiti. Police said the incident occurred in the early hours of August 1, 2026, during a suspected cult meeting at Inspiration Hotel. The gathering reportedly turned violent, leaving one person, identified as Sucrose, severely injured. Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad and Ilupeju Division arrested six suspects. Police said they recovered a Toyota Camry, clothing and items bearing the group’s insignia, a blood-stained shirt, scissors and other exhibits. The hotel management is also being investigated, while efforts continue to arrest other suspects who fled.
