PRP Chairman Warns Nigeria Could Collapse Under Tinubu’s Second Term
Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party, warns that re-electing President Bola Tinubu in 2027 could deepen Nigeria’s current crises. He says the nation faces unprecedented levels of insecurity, poverty and social division under the present administration. "We have never been in a war situation more than we are now," Baba-Ahmed said. He added that the government remains disconnected from everyday Nigerians, leaving youth hopeless and the country more divided than ever. Baba-Ahmed dismissed claims of a political “gang-up” against Tinubu, insisting the real threat comes from criminals and armed groups. "If there is a gang up, it will be a gang up of criminals and bandits that the president has failed to contain," he said.
