Sowore Supporters Clash with Security at Federal High Court

Supporters of activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore gathered outside the Federal High Court early Wednesday. Tension rose when they challenged the heavy deployment of security personnel around the complex. One woman, known as "Mama Pee," urged officers to shift focus from court security to rescuing abducted schoolchildren and teachers. She questioned why so many operatives were stationed at the entrance instead of tackling banditry elsewhere. The atmosphere grew more charged after some lawyers reportedly faced access restrictions into the courtroom. Despite the protests, security remained in place and court proceedings continued without official comment from the DSS.

What do you think sparked the sudden tension between Sowore's supporters and the heavy security deployment?

Absolutely! That sudden heavy security fit really fired up supporters' frustration, no wonder things got tense.

It seems odd that a major activist rally drew such heavy security, almost as if they expected trouble.

I'm not convinced that the protesters were entirely peaceful if they chose to confront armed officers at the court entrance.

Organizers should coordinate with court officials ahead of time to ensure peaceful demonstrations without clashing with security forces.
