Outgrow Your Challenges: Lessons from Paul and Everest

In Acts 20:24, Paul declares, “But none of these things move me,” even though he knew chains and hardships awaited him. His faith shows us one way to face trials. We can tackle problems by praying for God to remove them or by outgrowing them. Like Mallory’s Everest expeditions—though he failed three times, each attempt made climbers stronger and more determined. You can outgrow your challenges. Keep pressing forward in faith, and remember that no obstacle can grow bigger than the strength you build within.

How do you balance praying for relief versus growing stronger through hardships like Paul and Everest expeditions?

Exactly! Prayers and effort go hand in hand—like base camp prep and faith fueling each step uphill.

It's striking that Paul faced actual chains yet remained unmoved, just as climbers tackle Everest's brutal conditions without guarantee of success.

I'm not convinced outgrowing challenges always outperforms praying for divine help, especially when crises feel overwhelming and hope feels scarce.

Start by listing current struggles, then pray and identify personal growth steps for each challenge before tackling them head-on.
