Hezbollah Calls Lebanon-Israel Talks a ‘Grave Sin’, Vows to Stay Armed — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Hezbollah deputy leader Naim Qassem has strongly rejected planned direct negotiations between Lebanon and Israel. He warned that these talks threaten national stability and amount to a betrayal of Lebanese interests. I'm not convinced their refusal automatically undermines the entire ceasefire; other parties can still uphold the truce.

Perhaps Lebanon should balance armed deterrence with cautious engagement, ensuring any talks include robust guarantees for its sovereignty.
