RSUTH Unveils QR-Code Incident Reporting and Emergency Plan on World Safety Day
The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital marked World Safety Day 2026 with the launch of a new digital safety framework. Staff can now use QR codes to report workplace hazards and incidents in real time via mobile devices. Standardized safety signage and a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan were also introduced to strengthen preparedness across all clinical and support units. These measures aim to boost prevention, monitoring and rapid response. Professor Alikor stressed that healthcare workers’ well-being is vital to delivering quality care. Dr. Forman Onoha commended RSUTH for setting a regional benchmark with these digital innovations.
