Abuja to Host ‘Her Health, Her Power’ Conference with Former Leaders and Health Experts
The Vickyheldan Empowerment Foundation will hold its annual Her Health, Her Power Conference Africa on August 20, 2026, at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja. Under the theme “Leading With Wellness for a Sustainable Africa,” the event will unite former heads of state, first ladies and healthcare professionals to champion women’s wellbeing across the continent. Attendees will include policymakers, industry leaders, activists and community advocates exploring maternal and reproductive health, mental wellness, preventive care and outreach to underserved areas. The program features keynote addresses, policy dialogues, panel discussions, advocacy workshops and networking sessions. Founder Dr. Victory I. Njoku explains that the conference aims to bridge knowledge gaps, mobilize partnerships and amplify women’s voices in health equity. Distinguished speakers include former President Ameenah Gurib-Fakim of Mauritius and Kwara State First Lady Ambassador Prof. Olufolake AbdulRazaq, alongside leading health experts from Africa, Europe and the United States. Participants will gain practical strategies for improving healthcare access, fostering cross-sector collaborations and advocating evidence-based policies to safeguard women’s dignity, wellbeing and productivity across Africa.
