From Viral Skits to Nollywood Feature: Justin UG on Landing His First Film Role
Justin UG woke up to two life-changing messages from producer Blessing Uzzi and director Dammy Twitch. They asked, “Are you ready for your first feature?” and just like that, his debut in Call of My Life began. He started making comedy skits in 2016 and then learned video editing and shooting behind the camera. Acting ultimately drew him in, so he pursued a formal audition for his first feature film. The team guided him through the process, and he landed the role of Ezekiel. On set, he shared scenes with Nollywood legends Nkem Owoh and Patience Ozokwor. He also met peers like Broda Shaggi for the first time. He was struck by how every single crew member and department must work in sync to bring a story to life. Looking ahead, Justin plans to keep taking auditions and acting classes. He wants people to see this film and know he’s serious about a long career in acting.
