Sanwo-Olu Calls for Integrity and Accountability at Lagos Anglican Synod
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu urged public officials to treat leadership as a sacred trust. He spoke on honesty, transparency and accountability at the opening of the second session of the 36th Synod of the Diocese of Lagos, Anglican Communion, in Tafawa Balewa Square. Highlighting the theme on salvation and end-time doctrines, the governor said ethical leadership rests on responsibility and integrity. He linked rising economic challenges to the need for hope and accountable governance. Sanwo-Olu also reviewed achievements under his THEMES Plus Agenda across transport, healthcare, education, security and economic growth. The Diocesan Bishop applauded the state’s development strides and called on Christians to reject vote-selling and divisive politics ahead of 2027.
