Gov. Sule Dismisses ADC Threat, Backs State Policing Ahead of 2027

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has shrugged off the African Democratic Congress as a serious contender in the 2027 race. He argues that the ruling APC, which controls 31 states, need not fear an opposition party without any state stronghold. Speaking on a national television programme, Sule also threw his weight behind state policing as the best route to tackling terrorism and banditry. He revealed that 35 of 37 governors at the recent NEC meeting endorsed the plan, and he believes it will move forward once the necessary legislative amendments are completed.
