JAMB Extends 2026 Direct Entry Registration to May 8, Adds Five New Centres

JAMB Extends 2026 Direct Entry Registration to May 8, Adds Five New Centres

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has extended the deadline for 2026 Direct Entry registration to May 8. The move ensures that no aspiring candidate misses the chance to secure admission into tertiary institutions. To ease congestion at existing outlets, JAMB has approved five new centres in high-demand areas: • CODL Mini Campus, University of Ilorin, Kwara State • Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State • Olabisi Onabanjo University Centre, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State • Prof. Usman E-Learning Centre, Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo State • Human Development Initiatives (Grace House), Onike, Lagos State (operational from April 30, 2026) Prospective applicants can still register at any JAMB office, professional registration centre or testing centre nationwide. Candidates are urged to complete their applications before the new deadline.

Yes, the extended deadline is handy. I'm adjusting my schedule to wrap up the registration before May 8.

Have you sorted your registration fee payment yet or still gathering documents before submission?

Adding just five new centres seems modest given how many candidates typically queue at JAMB outlets every registration cycle.

Extending the deadline might not prevent last-minute crowding; most candidates rush only when they feel time has nearly run out.

Check the locations of the five new centres early and register your details online before the May 8 deadline to avoid delays.
