Adeleke Tells NYSC Corps to Stay Neutral Ahead of Osun Poll

Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II NYSC corps members in Osun to remain law-abiding and neutral as the state prepares for its August 15 governorship election. Speaking at the swearing-in and opening ceremony at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ede, he highlighted the scheme’s role in promoting national unity and integration. He described Osun as a peaceful and welcoming state where corps members can live, learn and contribute. Adeleke encouraged participants to engage fully in paramilitary drills, lectures and skills acquisition programmes. He commended camp management and pledged his administration’s commitment to their welfare and security. He reminded corps members that the NYSC scheme is non-partisan and advised them against involvement in partisan politics. He urged respect for local customs and full participation in community development throughout their service year.
