30 Killed, Including Eight Children, in Terror Attack on Kaduna Village
At least 30 people, including eight children, were killed after suspected terrorists attacked Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Residents said the gunmen invaded at about 11 p.m. on Sunday, shot at residents and set homes and shops ablaze. The attack reportedly lasted for hours, leaving several people injured and many families displaced. A village official said 30 bodies had been recovered and four critically injured victims were receiving treatment. He added that five children from one family were killed, while the only surviving child was receiving hospital care. Residents blamed the scale of the tragedy on poor road access and an alleged delayed security response. They have called on the Kaduna State and Federal Governments to improve security and emergency access in vulnerable communities.
