Glasgow 2026: Ashe, Fakorede and Ajayi Reach Men’s 100m Semi-Finals

Favour Ashe and Nicholas Fakorede have qualified for the men’s 100m semi-finals at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Ashe won his heat in 10.10 seconds, ahead of Kenya’s Meshack Babu (10.21s) and Guyana’s Akeem Stewart (10.55s). Fakorede finished second in his heat in 10.21s, behind Lesotho’s Mojela Koneshe, who set a national record of 10.07s. Kanyinsola Ajayi also progressed to the semi-finals after receiving a bye. Ashe, Ajayi and Fakorede will compete in separate semi-finals as they chase places in Tuesday’s final.
