OnlyFans creator Maeurn Smiles is using earnings from the platform to build a school and learning centre in Cebu, Philippines. Maeurn said she once hoped to become a teacher but could not afford university. She later taught English to Chinese students before pursuing an online career. In 2024, she bought land for 1.75 million pesos to develop the school. While the main building remains under construction, a smaller learning centre opened in 2025, offering local children science experiments, cooking activities and other practical learning programmes. She is financing and managing the project herself after deciding against donating the land to the government.
