Court Remands Nasarawa APC Leader After Alleged Death Threat to Police
A prominent APC chieftain in Lafia, Mallam Daddau Mamuda, was remanded by the Federal High Court in Lafia on May 12, 2026. He faces a two-count charge brought by the Nigeria Police Force over an alleged threat to kill officers. Presiding Judge M.O. Olajuwon ordered Mamuda held at the Nigeria Correctional Service until his bail application is heard. The matter has been adjourned to June 10, 2026 for further proceedings. Authorities accuse Mamuda of issuing the threat during a recent political gathering. He allegedly targeted any police officer involved in arresting supporters of his preferred gubernatorial aspirant, former IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu.
