Alt-Pop Star D4vd Denies Murdering 14-Year-Old Found in His Tesla
American singer D4vd has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Celeste vanished in April 2024 and her decomposed remains were discovered last September in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to the artist’s Texas home. Los Angeles prosecutors say D4vd engaged in an illegal sexual relationship with the girl and has been charged with special-circumstance murder, continuous lewd acts with a minor, and mutilation of human remains. Authorities allege he killed Celeste for financial gain and to cover up the relationship, and that she was a witness to earlier misconduct. At his arraignment, the 21-year-old musician entered a not guilty plea. His attorneys insist the evidence will exonerate him. The district attorney’s office has signaled it may seek the death penalty if he is convicted.
