Israeli Airstrikes in Southern Lebanon Kill 13, Including Two Paramedics
Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 13 people in southern Lebanon, state media report. Six civilians died when a home in Kfar Dounine was hit overnight, and seven others were injured. Lebanon’s health ministry said two Lebanese Civil Defense paramedics were killed and a third wounded during a rescue mission in Nabatieh. The ministry accused Israeli forces of deliberately targeting the team, calling it a violation of international humanitarian law. State media also reported a Syrian man was killed when an Israeli drone struck a motorcycle in Tayr Debba. Both Hezbollah and Israeli troops have since exchanged drone and rocket fire along the border, despite a US-brokered ceasefire. Lebanese officials say nearly 2,900 people have died in this conflict, including hundreds of medical workers. Israeli and Lebanese representatives are set to meet in Washington to seek a lasting end to the hostilities.
