Governor Oyebanji Visits Kidnap Survivors, Warns Against Politicising Security
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji paid a visit to victims of the Eda Oniyo abduction at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti, just one day after they were admitted on his directive. He condemned the attack and assured residents that his administration will cover all medical bills and provide psychological support for the survivors. The governor emphasised that security matters must not be politicised and praised federal support in strengthening the state’s security architecture. He also thanked security agencies, traditional leaders, and community members for their role in the rescue operation. In a related gesture, the governor settled hospital bills for three indigent patients and arranged their discharge.
