Army Rescues Two Kidnap Victims After Patrol in Taraba
Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade have rescued two men abducted by suspected criminals in Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State. The rescue followed an early-morning fighting patrol around the Lande Jessi axis after intelligence reports indicated armed gangs were moving through the area. The gunmen were accused of attacking Tashan Musa and Barkindan Fulani communities, abducting two residents and taking food supplies. The victims, Usman Mohammed and Usman Harusu, were found after spending about a week in captivity and have been reunited with their families. The Army said operations would continue across vulnerable communities in Taraba State and urged residents to provide credible information to security agencies.
