NANS Rates NELFUND 80%, Honours Rep Akinlayo and Warns on AI Misuse

The National Association of Nigerian Students rated the Federal Government’s student loan scheme at 80 percent, noting that millions of students have benefited despite some delays and mismanagement in certain institutions. During the Abuja ceremony, NANS also honoured Rep Davidson Akinlayo Kolawole for his community interventions, including bursaries and incentives for top-performing undergraduates. Leaders urged sanctions against erring officials and called for stronger parental and educational guidance as overreliance on AI and digital tools threatens academic integrity. The association reaffirmed its support for policies that can transform access to higher education across Nigeria.
