Wike and Umahi Honour Late Senator Mpigi Barry’s Legacy of Service
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, led tributes to the late Senator Mpigi Barinada Barry at a Night of Tribute held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre. Minister of Works Dave Umahi also praised Barry’s integrity and dedication to national development. He highlighted the late senator’s pivotal role in advancing key infrastructure projects, including sections of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, and noted that Barry pursued every cause with loyalty and commitment rather than personal gain. Pastor Amos Okemuyiwa of the Redeemed Christian Church of God reminded attendees that “death is not the end” and urged reflection on the lasting impact of one’s deeds.
