One Acre Fund Launches 2026 Input Distribution to 88,965 Smallholder Farmers Across Four States
One Acre Fund Nigeria has begun distributing quality seeds, fertilisers and other inputs on credit to 88,965 smallholder farmers in Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger and Kwara states for the 2026 planting season. The programme provides 9,000 metric tonnes of inputs alongside agronomic training, extension services, digital advisory and community-based last-mile delivery. Participating farmers benefit from flexible repayment terms and integrated support that has already driven yield improvements in earlier seasons. As part of its climate-smart agriculture drive, the organisation will distribute 19.6 million tree seedlings to 700,000 farmers and roll out youth-focused training for 40,000 young men and women. Plans are in place to expand services to over 820,000 farmers across Bauchi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau states.
