Spectators began by chanting “U-S-A!” but immediately shifted to deafening boos as Trump smiled and offered a salute. Later at JFK Airport, he told reporters the reception was “mostly cheers” and “very enthusiastic.” Brooklyn resident Errol Ismail, owner of a local fitness company, criticised Trump for turning the moment into a spectacle. He said Trump “isn’t a real fan” and “made it all about himself.”
