Nnamdi Kanu Alleges Plot by South-East Leaders to Kill Him
Nnamdi Kanu has alleged that some South-East political figures, traditional leaders and other collaborators plotted to have him killed while he was in exile. The claim followed businessman Chigozie Nnabugwu’s call on national television for the Federal Government to kill Kanu in order to restore peace in the South-East. The post argues that Nnabugwu’s remarks were influenced by political interests. In an excerpt from an earlier broadcast, Kanu said he told Chief Nwodo that he had no interest in leading Biafra or entering politics, but wanted freedom for his people. He alleged that, despite their meeting, plans were later made against his life. These are allegations and have not been independently verified in the post.
