Kaduna North Rep Mohammed Bello El-Rufai Joins ADC Ahead of Re-election Bid

Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, the House of Representatives member for Kaduna North and chairman of the Banking Regulations Committee, has officially left the APC for the African Democratic Congress. He submitted his resignation letter during plenary, where Speaker Tajudeen Abbas read it aloud. In a social media post, he confirmed his new membership and announced his intention to run for re-election under the ADC banner. He joins two other Kaduna lawmakers—Suleiman Richifa (Soba) and Umar Ajilo (Makarfi/Kudan)—in defecting to the ADC. El-Rufai says his decision is guided by conviction and a commitment to deliver quality representation.
