FAAN Steps Up Ebola Screening at All International Airports Amid Central Africa Outbreak
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has activated preventive measures at every international airport in collaboration with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Port Health Services. Passengers arriving from high-risk regions are being screened for Ebola symptoms. Any suspected cases will be isolated and undergo secondary health checks following national and international protocols. Staff sensitisation and emergency response procedures have been strengthened. While there are no confirmed cases in Nigeria, the authority remains on high alert and urges travellers to stay calm, comply with screenings, and report symptoms promptly.
