Mother and Son From Kano Die in Fatal Crash En Route to Pilgrimage

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed that two intending pilgrims died in a road accident on April 21, 2026. The crash occurred on the highway between Rimin Gado and Kano City. The victims were 48-year-old Alkasim Ibrahim Walawa and his 73-year-old mother, Hadiza Garba. Both were preparing for a religious journey to the Holy Land when the tragedy struck. The board expressed deep sorrow over the loss and prayed for Allah’s mercy on their souls. Condolences were extended to their family, with prayers for strength during this difficult time.
