Oshiomhole Wants Nigeria to Reclaim MTN from South African Owners Amid Xenophobia
Edo North lawmaker Adams Oshiomhole has urged the federal government to nationalise MTN Nigeria and end South African control. He proposes re-privatising the telecom firm so that Nigerian investors retain full ownership and profits remain in the country. This, he argues, would prevent further repatriation of funds to South Africa. Oshiomhole also criticised South Africa’s persistent unemployment and xenophobic violence against African migrants. He warned that Nigeria should refuse investment that values profit over human life.
