IK Ogbonna Breaks Down in Tears at Best Friend Alex Ekubo’s Funeral
Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna struggled to hold back tears as he bid farewell to his childhood friend Alex Ekubo on June 18 in Arochukwu, Abia State. In a moving video from the graveside service, IK wipes away tears while family members perform the dust-to-dust rite. Many colleagues, including Ini Edo, Mike Godson and Omoni Oboli, were present to pay their respects. Ekubo, who lost his battle with cancer at age 40 on May 11, was honoured with a Service of Songs in Lekki before the final burial. The pair were inseparable both on and off screen, often sharing playful banter and supporting each other through personal and professional milestones.
