Osun Police Urge Peaceful Celebrations After Governorship Election

The Osun State Police Command has congratulated residents on the conclusion of Saturday’s governorship election and urged supporters to celebrate peacefully and within the law. Police warned against reckless driving, firing weapons or fireworks, carrying dangerous weapons, destroying property, blocking traffic, violent processions and provoking political opponents. Security personnel have been deployed across the state to maintain order. The command said anyone who uses the post-election period to cause violence or public disorder will be arrested and prosecuted.
