Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway: Work Yet to Reach Edo, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers
The 750-kilometre Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is progressing in phases, with work reported along parts of the Lagos corridor and other sections undergoing construction or procurement. Section 1, linking Victoria Island to the Lekki Deep Seaport area, is said to be largely complete up to Eleko Junction. Construction is also reported to be advancing towards the Ogun border, while earthworks and route alignment continue on sections in Ogun and Ondo. Work has also been reported in Akwa Ibom and Cross River. The planned corridors through Edo, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers are yet to begin major construction, with procurement and scheduling still pending.
