Newborn Boy Rescued After Being Abandoned on Farm Path in Kwara
Residents in Omupo, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have rescued a newborn baby boy abandoned along a farm road. The infant was found by a passerby with his placenta still attached and neighbours were alerted immediately. He was taken to Omupo Cottage Hospital, where Chief Medical Director Dr Ismail Bakare confirmed the baby arrived alive and is now under observation. Doctors report he is stable and responding well to treatment. Although he survived severe conditions, the newborn will need sustained medical care, proper nutrition and ongoing support in the coming weeks to ensure healthy development.
