Nigeria Launches Unified Portal for 96 Government Services
The Federal Government launched the soft phase of the Government Service Portal on 28 July 2026. The platform is designed to make public services easier for citizens and businesses to find and access through one digital gateway. Developed by Galaxy Backbone with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy and the Korea International Cooperation Agency, the portal is part of Nigeria’s e-Government Master Plan 2.0. It is intended to reduce fragmentation in government service delivery and support secure information-sharing among authorised agencies. Users can search for services including driver’s licence applications through the FRSC, NIN-related services from NIMC, international passport services from the Nigeria Immigration Service, and services linked to the Nigerian Ports Authority. As of 29 July 2026, the portal listed 96 services.
