Whitemoney: Dating in Nigeria Now Feels Like Constant Billing

Hazel Oyeze Onou, known as Whitemoney, says he’s frustrated by today’s dating culture in Nigeria. The former Big Brother Naija star admits that finding a genuine partner has become a challenge. He joked that many women now seem more interested in financial perks than in getting to know someone. “Any small hello, it’s billing,” he quipped, adding that by the time you ask how she’s doing, you’ve already spent money. As he gets older, Whitemoney says he’s keen to meet a good woman — but feels that dating in Nigeria has become all about referral codes and constant charges.
